(Overview)
Riverstone sources single-estate jasmine rice from terraced fields, but its plastic bags looked like every discount brand on the shelf. We gave the grain the packaging it deserves: honest paper, engraved landscapes and a name you can read from the market aisle.
The challenge
A premium product hidden in generic packaging. Shoppers could not tell Riverstone apart from cheaper rice, and delis refused to stock it on the top shelf.
Our approach
We drew a condensed wordmark inspired by old grain-sack stencils, engraved the terraced rice fields as the brand illustration and moved the range into natural kraft-paper sacks. A market-to-kitchen photo series shows the rice where it belongs: carried home, poured and served.
